Now it's my turn!

With a hand on your heart... if I were to ask you to open your calendar (yes, Google works too...), in percentages... how much of what’s written there belongs to you and how much to the kids? Excluding work meetings.

For me, 99% belongs to the kids... extracurricular activities, various therapies, routine check-ups, reminders, classmates’ birthdays, don’t forget to buy a gift, tests, evaluations, meetings with this teacher and that teacher... this committee, another activity... and when is it about me?! How did it happen that at any given moment I know how to manage the entire family operation in every possible role,

And a simple task like scheduling a check-up for myself only happens because the amazing nurse from the clinic called to remind me?! Or because I had an attack of some pain that I could no longer ignore, so I moved something in the calendar to make room to take care of it because it was already urgent?! How important it is, from time to time, to also schedule time for the relationship that needs maintenance... how important it is to have time for myself, enrichment, studies, personal growth, coffee with friends, liberating laughter.

Because if the CEO, operations manager, driver, and secretary aren’t functioning, how will the entire system operate??? How important it is to take care of ourselves?! Not just for health and appearance, but also for the personal example we set. We run with and for the kids at every given moment, but how important it is to check and make sure we haven’t forgotten ourselves?! Go ahead, open your calendar... do something for yourself. Parenting is the role of our lives,

And to succeed in doing it in the best way possible,

It’s important to remember that we wear a few other hats... now it’s your turn!
